Tom Scholl is a partner at Novak Biddle Venture Partners. He is a successful entrepreneur and investor with experience sitting on both sides of the boardroom table. He has twenty-five years experience in communications systems, equipment, chipsets and software. In 1990, he founded Telogy Networks, (now owned by Texas Instruments) the leader in embedded communications VOIP software products. Mr. Scholl also sits on the boards of Paratek, Princeton Optronics and Centice. In 2001, he co-founded and became chairman of Cognio, a developer of technology for new and existing short-range wireless applications. In 1995, he was recognized as the Joseph A. Sciulli "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Maryland High Technology Council. Mr. Scholl is on the Board of Visitors at the Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland and he is the Chair of its Strategic Planning Committee. He's a member of IEEE and ACM, and he is an alumnus of Purdue University and the Executive Management program at MIT Sloan School. |
