Tom farms 700 acres and milks 200 cows with his son. He has been in the dairy business and has been a member of a cooperative since 1964. Heavily involved in DFA, he currently serves as the secretary/treasurer of the board and chairman for the Mideast Area Council. He is on the DFA’s Executive, Retirement, Risk Management and DPI committees and serves as chairman of DFA’s Finance and Budget Committee. He also serves on the boards for MidAm Capital, Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program and Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association. He formerly was vice chairman of MMI. In addition, he is the treasurer of the Penwest Conference of the United Church of Christ and is vice president of his church. |
