Tom Currie is a Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Security Capital Assurance (SCA) and serves as XL Financial Assurance's Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Surveillance Officer. As Chief Risk Officer of SCA Mr Currie oversees risk management and credit policy at the holding company level. Mr. Currie's responsibilities at XLFA include underwriting analysis and surveillance of inwards third party reinsurance. He has more than 19 years of experience in corporate and investment banking for both the structured finance and traditional corporate debt markets.
Mr. Currie joined XLFA from Standard & Poor's in New York where he served as a structured finance bond analyst in the new assets group. Prior to that he worked at several positions in corporate and investment banking.
Mr Currie earned an M.B.A at the University of Western Ontario Canada in 1986 and a CFA charter in 1990. |
