Todd Redmon joined American Capital's Operations Team in October of 2006 and is a Vice President focused on service-based companies.
Todd has over 15 years of experience in industry leading organizations. Prior to joining American Capital, Todd was with The Home Depot where he was recruited to help develop new businesses outside of the company's core retail model. This included new store formats, multiple joint venture partnerships and several of the businesses in the B2B division, HD Supply. While at The Home Depot, Todd also served in a variety of capacities within the company's $900MM subsidiary, Creative Touch Interiors (CTI), which serviced production homebuilders. At CTI, Todd held roles of increasing responsibility in operations, product development, design and construction and merchandising, as well as led the sales and service function for the company's 50 nationwide locations.
Todd began his career in the service industry in the hospitality sector where he worked for Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Hyatt, Houston's Restaurants and Brinker International. His primary role was in a general manager capacity responsible for unit-level operating performance and P&L management. He has significant experience in opening new business units, leading turnaround efforts and closing underperforming locations.
Todd attended Johnson & Wales University, graduating cum laude from both their College of Culinary Arts and School of Hospitality. He holds an MBA from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University and has completed post-graduate studies in Sales and Service Management at the University of Chicago and The Ritz Carlton Leadership Center, respectively. Todd is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and Project Management Professional (PMP).
Todd currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Capital's portfolio company SMG, as well as an observer on the Board of Directors of Pan Am International Flight Academy and Financial Asset Management Systems. |
