Mr. Larson is a Vice President at Cogent Valuation in the Los Angeles Office. He joined the firm in 1996 as a financial analyst and since that time has either completed or assisted in the valuation of over 300 companies, ranging in size from small closely held companies to large multinational, publicly traded companies. The primary purposes for these engagements have been for estate and tax planning, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions, financial reporting and compliance, and litigation support, but have also included mergers and acquisitions (including fairness and solvency opinions) and corporate restructuring.
Mr. Larson has experience in providing valuations in a wide range of industries, including: aerospace, real estate holding and development, retail, wholesale, entertainment, computer hardware, food and beverage, wineries and vineyards, market research, professional services, apparel, and consumer products, as well as many manufacturing industries.
Mr. Larson holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Marshall School at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University at Northridge. Mr. Larson has also been designated an Accredited Senior Appraiser by the American Society of Appraisers in Business Valuation. In addition, Mr. Larson has been a speaker on valuation topics at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. |
