Todd Richard is president and chief executive officer of FARA. He is responsible for the overall direction and management of the company's business units. Under his leadership, FARA has grown to be a leading national third party administrator. The company employs 465 professionals and serves clientele nationwide. FARA is headquartered north of New Orleans in Mandeville, LA, with revenues of more than 32 million in 2003. Richard's career has spanned over 20 years in service to FARA in nearly all operational capacities. He joined the company as an adjuster trainee handling property claims while attending college. Upon graduation, Richard trained in London at Sedgwick Insurance Brokers' North American Division and Price Forbes Ltd. He joined NW Insurance Service, Inc. as an excess & surplus lines broker prior to returning to FARA, known then as F.A. Richard and Associates, in 1987. Upon his return to the company, Richard served as the administrative manager. He later served as corporate secretary, vice president of administration, executive vice president and in 1996 was named president. In 1998, Richard was elected CEO and currently serves in that capacity. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in risk and insurance from Louisiana State University in 1985. Email M.
