Todd M. Phillips is Vice President, Controller and Treasurer (Chief Accounting Officer) of NovaStar Financial. Named to this position in 2006, he is responsible for all accounting and treasury functions of the company, including accounting policy and external financial reporting. Mr. Phillips has 11 years of experience and has held various positions in the finance and accounting areas of NovaStar since 2002. Before being named Chief Accounting Officer, he served as Assistant Controller and Director of External Reporting and Accounting Policy. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Phillips worked in accounting at NovaMed, Inc., a publicly traded company, and in the audit practice of KPMG LLP. |
