Tod Baker has served as HealthGrades' Senior Vice President of the Internet Patient Acquisition (IPAC) program since July 2006. Mr. Baker's group provides hospitals and physicians with online solutions for acquiring new patients and solidifying hospital and physician relations.
The IPAC program connects hospitals and physicians with patients who are searching the Internet for a healthcare provider by allowing physicians to expand their online background profiles, which consumers access on HealthGrades' consumer Web site, HealthGrades.com, and on HealthGrades' Health Management Suite, the suite of decision-support tools used by large employers, health plans and third-party administrators.
Previously, as Senior Vice President of Provider Services, Mr. Baker built a team of 20 consultants and created the nation's premier hospital-quality and business-development consulting program. This group provides strategic business-development tools and quality-analysis solutions to help top-performing hospitals sustain and communicate their high quality at the service line or overall hospital level. Through his Quality Solutions team's efforts, clients receive physician-led, data-driven consulting assessment and implementation services that are based on clinical outcomes and best practices. Mr. Baker's group has worked with hospitals to increase profitability margins, increase patient volumes and promote clinical excellence. In Mr. Baker's six years with the company, HealthGrades' hospital consulting business has grown dramatically, from 40 client hospitals to more than 325 today.
Mr. Baker's background includes more than 12 years of experience in hospital consulting, and he has personally worked with more than 150 hospitals and hundreds of physicians throughout the United States. Prior to joining HealthGrades, Mr. Baker served as Assistant Vice President at GE Medical Systems, developing solutions for pulmonary, cardiology and vascular service line consulting programs.
A Colorado native, Mr. Baker graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.S. in Business Administration. |
