Mr. Hughes is a registered professional geologist with a career spanning over 27 years working in Canada Mongolia China Ghana Burkina Faso Venezuela Guyana Argentina and Ecuador. His experience comprises grass roots and advanced stage exploration projects at Chief Geologist level on various commodities including gold copper zinc nickel PGE and diamonds. Canadian exploration experience includes Abitibi Wawa-Hemlo Red Lake greenstone belts Lynn Lake Rae and Hearn provinces Nunavut Contwoyto Vancouver Island Yellowknife and Indin Lake belts. Mr. Hughes' cumulative gold experience spans 15 years working on mesothermal epithermal skarn Carlin-Type IF-hosted and IOGG targets and deposits. He has worked on and been associated with several significant gold discoveries and deposits including Glimmer Harker-Holloway East-West (Au-VMS) Abitibi: Meadowbank Nunavut. Major associated diamond discovery projects include Larder Lake and Contwoyto Lake kimberlites. Mr. Hughes served as Chief Geologist for Grandview from 2006 through early 2007. |
