Toby focuses on appellate and civil litigation. His experience includes practice before the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, North Carolina State and Federal trial courts, and the North Carolina Industrial Commission. Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Toby served as law clerk to the Honorable K. Edward Greene, the Honorable Wanda Bryant, and the Honorable Bob Hunter of the North Carolina Court of Appeals from 2002 to 2004. He entered private practice in 2004 focusing on the defense of civil litigation and professional malpractice claims.
Toby received his B.A. in International Studies and History with honors from the American University in 1998 and his J.D. with honors from Campbell University's Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2002 where he served as the Notes and Comments editor of the Campbell Law Review. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Order of Barristers. |
