Mr. Galvin has over six years of experience in the energy efficiency industry. His areas of expertise include energy efficiency and renewable energy program design, evaluation, policy, implementation, measure characterization, measure screening and market assessments. He has served as a program design advisor for numerous utilities and system benefit charge funded organizations, with a particular emphasis on the design of residential programs. Mr. Galvin has worked on residential new construction, lighting and appliances, existing homes, demand response as well as information and education programs. Mr. Galvin earned a MS in Resource Economics from the University of Florida Gainesville and a BA in Anthropology from Grinnell College. Prior to Summit Blue, Mr. Galvin was Deputy Director of Efficiency Maine, a $12 million dollar program of the Maine Public Utilities Commission. In this position Mr. Galvin provided leadership on overall efficiency and renewable program design, policy, and organizational management for Efficiency Maine and the Maine Solar Energy Rebate program. He was also a lead author on major Efficiency Maine reports, RFPs, legislative testimony, and PUC dockets. Mr. Galvin also worked previously for Vermont Energy Investment Corporation, a non-profit organization that administers the Efficiency Vermont contract and consults to other utilities. As Senior Energy Analyst, Mr. Galvin provided program design and implementation support for Efficiency Vermont, Long Island Power Authority, NYSERDA, and New Brunswick, Canada. He was also active in the administration of Vermont s solar electric, solar hot water, and small wind incentive program.
