Timothy K. Schools joined The South Financial Group in October 2004 as Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Development. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer responsible for finance, accounting, treasury, investor relations and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Schools began his banking career in 1999 as Vice President Investor Relations with SouthTrust Corporation. In 2001, he joined National Commerce Financial Corporation where he served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Investor Relations and President/CEO of NCF Alliance Services, a third party real estate settlement service company and title agency. Prior to joining SouthTrust, Mr. Schools held corporate finance and management consulting positions at Sonat, Inc. and Price Waterhouse. Mr. Schools graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University with a degree in Business Administration and holds a MBA from Emory University. He is a former Director of First Market Bank and is a past member of the NASDAQ Issuer Affairs Committee. |
