Dr. Timothy Myers is a Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Thermal Sciences practice. He specializes in the application of chemical engineering principles to the analysis of processes and the investigation of equipment failures in the chemical pulp and paper industries. Dr. Myers also investigates the stability and hazard potential of chemicals and chemical mixtures and the compatibility of materials with specific chemical environments. He has developed and used various techniques for visualizing non-destructively analyzing and imaging otherwise inaccessible internal regions of complex materials. He has also investigated dynamic processes using high-speed video and he continues to adapt image analysis methods with both moving and still images. In addition Dr. Myers conducts engineering analysis and experimental testing involving chemistry heat and mass transfer fluid mechanics thermodynamics fires and dust and gas explosions. |
