Timothy J. Dillon was appointed president of Baron Drawn Steel in January 2005. Prior to joining Baron, Dillon had been the chief commercial officer for Georgetown Steel since joining the former parent company, GS Industries, Inc. in July 1999. During his tenure at Georgetown, Dillon was an integral part of the transition to private ownership as Georgetown Steel Company LLC in June 2002, and later he was on the management team that restarted the company as ISG Georgetown Inc. in June 2004. Before coming to Georgetown, Dillon spent 13 years with wire rod producer American Steel and Wire. He worked initially as part of the start-up team for this new company that began in 1986, and later after Birmingham Steel's acquisition of ASW in 1993, as vice president, sales and marketing for Birmingham's SBQ bar, rod and wire division. Prior to 1986 Dillon worked with US Steel for six years in various sales, planning, scheduling, and marketing positions. Dillon is a business education graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio |
