Tim is a proven advocate in all phases of civil litigation, from initial case investigation through jury verdict. He represents clients in federal and state courts, in administrative adjudications, in the defense of government investigations, and in arbitration proceedings. The majority of his experience involves:
the defense of employment practices claims, civil rights claims, and related torts;
the prosecution and defense of business competition claims, including trade secret and restrictive covenant claims involving injunctive relief;
the representation of media interests in First Amendment litigation and related matters; and
counseling clients on ways to achieve their objectives without litigation.
Tim is also active in civic and professional affairs. He is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Dayton Society of Natural History, Inc., which owns and operates the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery and SunWatch Indian Village. He is the past Chair of the Dayton Bar Association's Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and a past member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Greater Miami Valley Board of Trustees. In addition, Tim is a member of the American Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association and the Carl D. Kessler Inn of Court. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1987-1991, and served as election day counsel to the McCain-Palin 2008 campaign for Montgomery County. |
