Mr. Hoberg, a partner at the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1944, and is a lifelong resident of Southwestern Ohio. He graduated from Batavia High School in 1962 and The Ohio State University, with a degree of Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, in 1967. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia Law School in 1970. While at Ohio State, he was a member of Eta Kappa Nu, the national electrical engineering honor society and Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society. At Virginia, he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. In 1970, Mr. Hoberg joined the firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister in Cincinnati, and became a partner in 1979. Mr. Hoberg was on active duty with the United States Army from 1971 to 1973. Since the beginning of his practice, he has concentrated on corporate and securities matters, including private placements and public offerings of securities, proxy and takeover contests, and merger and acquisition matters including representation of special committees of directors in going private and related party transactions. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is named in the current edition of Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers. Mr. Hoberg also has been chosen as an Ohio Super Lawyer by Cincinnati Magazine. He is a Trustee Emeritus of the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Mr. Hoberg is admitted to practice law in the States of Ohio and Michigan.
