Mr. Young is an energy executive with more than 27 years of increasing responsibility and experience in all phases of the energy industry.
March 2006 to present, Executive Vice President, Frontier Energy Services, LLC.
From December 2004 to March 2006 Mr. Young was Vice President of Frontier Field Services. He was responsible for the overall day-to-day management of Frontier Field Services and its 65 employees. He was responsible for accounting, engineering/operations, gas supply, marketing, business development and human resources. Mr. Young was also responsible for the negotiation and acquisition of the 56 MMcfd Empire Abo Plant in New Mexico and its successful integration into Frontier Field Services' portfolio of assets. Under Mr. Young's leadership, Frontier Field Services had 4 plants with over 290 MMcfd of treating and processing capacity and over 700 miles of pipeline in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.
From 2003 through 2004, Mr. Young provided executive consulting services and was instrumental in creating a new midstream subsidiary for a large privately held company. That start-up midstream entity quickly acquired various gathering, processing, pipeline and storage assets that complimented its existing energy portfolio.
From 1995 to 2003 Mr. Young worked for various CMS Energy subsidiaries as Executive Director Business Development, Senior Vice President and ultimately as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CMS Field Services, the midstream organization he initially assembled as acquisitions of Continental and Heritage. Under Mr. Young's direction, CMS Field Services developed from a regional Mid-continent based organization into one that had facilities in all the major U.S. Basins and grew to over $300 million in assets and had over 150 employees. Growth was achieved from new construction (Bighorn and Fort Union in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming), acquisitions (Continental, Heritage, and Anson) and redeployment of underutilized assets (Laverne 200 MMcfd idle cryogenic plant refurbished and moved to Lake Charles). Commercial development offices were opened in Houston and Denver. Financial performance goals were exceeded for all years. Under Mr. Young's leadership, CMS Field Services won the Gas Processors Association #1 Safety Award for their perfect safety record in 2001.
Prior to CMS Energy, Mr. Young held various positions with Grand Valley Gas Company, Colorado Interstate Gas Company and Kerr-McGee.
Tim Young earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. He and his wife and daughter reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
