Mr. Thomas was appointed Senior Vice President Canadian Oil and Gas and an officer of Nexen Inc. in November 2007. He joined Nexen in 1991 and most recently held the position Vice President Exploration and Production for the Canadian Oil and Gas division. Prior to this Mr. Thomas held a variety of positions within the company including Vice President Yemen Operations and International Business Development President and General Manager Yemen Operations and General Manager Business Development located in London. He came to Nexen with over ten years of drilling experience in Canada and the North Sea.
Mr. Thomas graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Imperial College of Science in the UK. |
