Tim Barrows is a general partner of Matrix Partners and has more than 19 years of experience in investing in early stage information technology companies.
Tim was a founding investor and board member for Matrix in the following companies: American Internet (acquired by Cisco), Cimaron Communications (acquired by AMCC), eRoom (acquired by Documentum), First Sense Software (acquired by Concord Communications), OnDisplay (IPO, acquired by Vignette), SilverStream Software (IPO, acquired by Novell), Sycamore Networks (SCMR), Tivoli Systems (IPO, acquired by IBM), Veritech (acquired by SDLI) and Watermark Software (acquired by Filenet).
Tim is also currently a director of several private companies including Empirix, Livevault, and Intelliden.
Prior to joining Matrix, Tim worked in corporate finance at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets. He graduated from Stanford University with a Masters in Business Administration and from Williams College with a major in Political-Economics. |
