Thuy T. Bui is an associate in the Products Liability and Mass Tort Practice Group. Her practice is focused on civil litigation, including general commercial and products liability litigation.
Thuy has represented major pharmaceutical and medical device companies in strict liability, negligence and wrongful death cases involving prescription and over-the-counter medications and medical devices in federal MDL and state courts. She has also represented chemical manufacturers in actions involving claims of injuries from alleged exposure to ethylene oxide, a gas used by hospitals and medical supply manufacturers to sterilize medical devices. In addition, she represented an asbestos supplier in a property damage suit seeking to recover costs for removing asbestos-containing material in state-owned buildings, as well as a major tobacco company in a suit brought seeking to recover medical costs and civil penalties.
In General. Thuy received her bachelor's degree from the University of California - Los Angeles in 1994 and her J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law in 1997. She is admitted to practice in Illinois, California, New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. |
