Tom handles claims before governmental agencies on behalf of regulated and licensed businesses and professionals including healthcare, insurance and accountancy issues. Additionally, his background in legislative drafting and analysis at the state and federal levels allows him to offer assistance to group and businesses faced with proposed statutory changes and regulations. Tom's litigation practice emphasizes the defense of federal civil rights and discrimination matters, employment contract and related disputes, and a variety of claims brought against Colorado's public entities. These responsibilities have led to multiple jury trials in both state and federal courts. He was admitted to practice in Colorado in 1977 and is admitted before the United States District Court, District of Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. Tom received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1977 and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in political science and history from Claremont McKenna College in 1974. |
