Thomas W. Weidenkopf is Honeywell’s senior vice president of Human Resources and Communications, a position he was appointed to in April 2002. A member of Honeywell’s senior leadership team, Weidenkopf is responsible for leading global human resources strategy and programs for the company’s 120,000 employees in more than 100 countries. This includes organization and talent development, staffing, learning, compensation and benefits, communications, and labor and employee relations. In September 2006, Tom’s responsibilities were expanded to also include the Six Sigma and Honeywell Shared Services organizations.
Prior to this position, Weidenkopf was VP of Human Resources for Honeywell Aerospace, a position he held since March 1999, developing HR strategies for the $10 billion business and its more than 40,000 global employees.
Weidenkopf joined Honeywell in 1995 as director, Global Staffing and Development, and was responsible for leading the company-wide staffing function with particular emphasis on executive assessment, selection and development. In 1997, he was named vice president, Human Resources for the Aerospace Marketing, Sales & Service strategic business unit. MS&S encompassed several aerospace service businesses as well as the global customer management organization.
Prior to Honeywell, Weidenkopf was manager, Organization and Staffing, at General Electric’s Kidder Peabody unit. From 1981 through 1993, he held a number of human resources leadership positions with the Pepsi-Cola and Pizza Hut units of Pepsico Inc. Weidenkopf is a director of the Human Resource Policy Association (HRPA).
