Thomas Bergdall has been in the legal profession for over 30 years. In 1995, he joined Healthfirst as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. He is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all legal, governmental and compliance matters. In this capacity, he directed the reorganization of a portion of Healthfirst, Inc.’s business to become a limited liability company providing management services to other managed care organizations, and the acquisition and capitalization of an affiliate not-for-profit commercial HMO.
Prior to joining Healthfirst, Mr. Bergdall was the First Deputy Administrator, General Counsel and Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Human Resources Administration. In addition, he has held various other senior positions in both private practice and government. |
