As Vice President of Technology and Delivery, Tom is responsible for overseeing the operations of our client services and solutions development. Specifically, he manages the technology and education centers of excellence that provide the foundation for delivery of our core services in application development, business intelligence, portals, eLearning, and network infrastructure. Tom joined SSE in 2000 as Vice President of Solutions. Tom brings a wealth of management skill, business acumen, and leadership ability to SSE. Prior to joining SSE, Tom managed the US Coast Guard Aviation's Enterprise Integration IT system. He has considerable experience formulating strategy and implementing business process redesign in a large organization. During his 15 years with the US Coast Guard, Tom flew the HH-65A Dauphin helicopter. He performed search and rescue missions, supported science missions in the Arctic, served as an aviation engineer, and managed sizeable field-level maintenance teams. Tom graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering from the US Coast Guard Academy and earned an MS in Industrial Administration (Information Systems specialty) from the Krannert School of Business, Purdue University. Tom is currently a member of the St. Louis Science Center Emerging Leadership Committee, and is a member of the board of the Girl Scout's Council of Greater St. Louis Technology Advisory Committee.
