Thomas P. Ward is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in its Chicago office. He is a member of the Firm's Tax Department, where he focuses his practice on federal income tax matters, with a particular emphasis on joint ventures, both domestic and international, partnership and limited liability company transactions.
Thomas also works with clients in the resolution of entity and personal tax issues, including the preparation and submission of ruling requests and the development of audit response solutions/strategies.
Thomas has written articles and has spoken on tax issues affecting partnerships, limited liability companies and S corporations.
Thomas is a member of the American, Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
At the University of Michigan, he was an editor of the Michigan International Law Journal. |
