Mr. West has had a distinguished Insurance and Financial Services career spanning 40 years. Mr. West concluded his service with the American General Financial Group as Vice Chairman and Group Executive-Retirement Services. He also served as Chairman and CEO of the Retirement Services Division comprised of the American General Fund Group, The Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC) and American General Annuity Company. His previous assignment was as Regional Vice President of the Personal Financial Security Division with profit responsibility for the Southern Region. This assignment included pricing, underwriting, and claims handling for all personal lines of Property and Casualty, Life, Health, Pensions and Annuities. Mr. West’s first sales management assignment was to build a start-up Life General Agency into the number one sales office in the company. Mr. West currently serves as Chairman & CEO of WestMark Ventures, as President & CEO of Pocket Technologies and Chairman of Intermark Language Services. He is an Advisory Board member of SalvageSale and Commerciant Corp. Mr. West formerly served as Vice Chairman and Director of Info-One. Mr. West received his BS degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee and completed the Columbia University Graduate School of Business-Executive Program in Management of Financial Services. |
