Colonel Thomas J. Richardson, United States Army, is the Director for Logistics, Engineering and Security Assistance, Headquarters, United States Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Colonel Richardson began his Army career with a commission in the Quartermaster Corps upon graduation from Stephen F. Austin University, Texas in 1980. He is a graduate of the Army Quartermaster Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms & Services Staff School, Army Command and General Staff College, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Masters’ degrees in Military Science and Strategic Resource Management.



Colonel Richardson has served in command and staff positions throughout his career. Upon completion of the Basic Course, he served as the Tech Supply Platoon Leader in the 586th Maintenance Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion and as the Class IX Officer in the 7th Support Group, Stuttgart Germany. Following the Quartermaster Advanced Course, he was assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado as the 68th Transportation Battalion S-3, 43rd Support Group S-4, and Commander Alpha Company, 64th Forward Support Battalion. He was then assigned to AAFES Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, as the Aide de - Camp to the Commanding General. His next assignment was to Hohenfels, Germany, where he served as the S-4 Observer/Controller for the 3rd Observer Controller Team. He deployed to OPERATION DESERT STORM as the Support Operations Officer for the 7th ATC Mobile Training Team, and then returned to Hohenfels. After completing the Command and General Staff College, he was assigned to 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. He served as the DISCOM S-3, 101st FSB Executive Officer, Chief DMMC, and Deputy G-4/DOL. He was then assigned to Fort Lewis, Washington as the Commander 296th Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. Upon completion of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, he was assigned to Headquarters, United States European Command in Stuttgart, Germany where he served as the Logistics Operations Division Chief and then as the Deputy J-4. He was reassigned to Fort Hood, Texas as the 13th Corps Support Command G-3. He deployed to Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and assumed Command of the 64th Corps Support Group. Most recently he served as the Executive Officer to the Deputy Commanding General, Army Materiel Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.



His awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion Of Merit (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism (Expeditionary), Global War on Terrorism (Service) and the Parachutist Badge.
