Thomas Lovett is chair of Lindquist & Vennum’s Corporate Securities/Public Companies Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Practice Group. He focuses his practice on corporate and securities matters including:Public and private offerings General representation of publicly held issuersRepresentation of investment bankers, broker-dealers and investment advisors Corporate governance Mr. Lovett has been primary responsible for a number of public offerings, representing both issuers and underwriters. His work encompasses a number of industries, including consumer products, distribution companies, entertainment, environmental resources, financial institutions, high technology, hospitality, insurance, life sciences, managed health care and telecommunications.Prior to joining Lindquist & Vennum, Mr. Lovett was a branch chief in the Division of Market Regulation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. He also served in the United States Peace Corps in the Philippines.From 2004 - 2006, Mr. Lovett served as co-chair of a special Minnesota State Bar Association task force that studied and presented recommendations to the Minnesota Legislature on the Uniform Securities Act, which was subsequently enacted in May 2006.Mr. Lovett also serves as a board member of LegalCORPS, a 501(c)(3) corporation that assists eligible nonprofit corporations and micro-businesses in Minnesota in obtaining free legal assistance on business-related, transactional matters. |
