Thomas Loose has substantial experience in civil appeals, complex commercial litigation, and environmental litigation. He has represented an international oil/chemical company in district court and the Fifth Circuit regarding claims under CERCLA, RCRA, and state law counterparts. Mr. Loose has also represented a landlord in a dispute arising out of a purchase option in a lease. He also has experience in age discrimination disputes and malpractice claims. The case is currently on its second appeal before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Represented nationwide retailer defending against age discrimination claims, upholding favorable summary judgment in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Obtained permits to produce groundwater enabling clients to proceed with efforts to market water to major metropolitan end-users. Represented an attorney in both the trial court and court of appeals defending against legal malpractice claims and prosecuting the attorney’s claims to recover an agreed-upon contingent fee.
