Thomas E. Moran is Assistant Secretary of The Dow Chemical Company and Managing Counsel in The Office of the Corporate Secretary.
Moran joined the Company in 1989 and spent his first four years in the Corporate and Securities Law Section of the Legal Department. He transferred to Texas Operations in 1992 and provided counsel on labor, employment and insurance issues for four years. He then assumed responsibility for Texas site litigation as well as Dow's asbestos litigation. Moran transferred to Pittsburg, California in December 2000 to provide counsel on California site legal issues and to manage several Superfund sites. He has handled a variety of securities law and corporate governance issues since his return to Michigan in 2002.
Moran attended Colgate University and received a B.A. in Psychology with honors in 1986. He received a J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1989. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan, Texas and California. Moran holds various positions and directorships with community organizations including the Catholic Committee Foundation of Mid Michigan, Michigan Attorneys For Animals and several S.P.C.A.'s and humane societies. |
