Tom Oviatt serves as vice president and treasurer, a position he has held since joining Thomas & Betts in October 1998. In this role, Mr. Oviatt is responsible for global treasury operations and strategy, insurance risk management, financing, capital markets, credit and collections, and worldwide pension investments.
Immediately prior to joining Thomas & Betts, Mr. Oviatt served as treasurer of the Handleman Company, a worldwide distributor serving the music industry. He also held various positions in finance at Ralston Purina -- including treasurer of Ralcorp Holding -- and the Continental Baking Company.
Mr. Oviatt received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Detroit Institute of Technology and both a Master of Business Administration and Doctorate of Management degrees from Webster University. |
