Thomas C. McCormick, COO, General Counsel & Secretary - Prior to joining E-Duction in October 2001, Tom McCormick was an attorney in the Washington, DC office of the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster, where his practice focused on transactional, regulatory, compliance and legislative matters for the financial services industry, with a special emphasis on consumer lending and credit card issues, including privacy and credit reporting matters. He has significant transactional experience, highlighted by his role as lead negotiator for the sale of a $1.8 billion portfolio of credit card receivables. Tom represented financial services companies and others in connection with the negotiation of major outsourcing projects, information technology transactions and strategic alliance agreements. He also has represented the interests of banks on Capitol Hill, and he is the principal author of amendments to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act signed into law by President Clinton in November 1998. Tom graduated from Kenyon College and the Fordham University School of Law. |
