Tom Hakel has extensive experience in corporate finance and business development. Prior to co-founding North Bay Partners, he founded and operated International Commerce Group, LLC, a business consultancy organization focused on emerging stage start-up companies.
In addition to his experience in telecommunications, Mr. Hakel has worked extensively in technology and high growth sector business, including tenure as President of Electricar International, where he was responsible for overall strategy and the development of joint ventures throughout Asia.
In both consulting and operational roles, Mr. Hakel has assisted numerous companies with the development of strategic plans, debt and equity financing and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hakbel's foundation in consulting and finance was developed during his tenure with KPMG Peat Marwick, where he served as a manager in the financial institutions consulting practice. During this time, he was responsible for the development of several of the firm's proprietary valuation and asset/liability management computer models. He is a certified public account and holds a degree in computer science from Sonoma State University. |
