Theodore M. Davis Managing Director Theodore M. Davis has over 25 years of business and technology experience. Mr. Davis has demonstrated leadership and innovation throughout his career by founding electronic document and electronic discovery firms, developing advanced document management solutions and heading an IT networking and integration company. Mr. Davis was a co-founder of Docuity, a leading electronic discovery solution, recently acquired by Stroz Friedberg to complement their leading eDiscovery services by adding the most advanced technology for collecting, identifying, processing, searching and reviewing electronic data for critical litigation matters. Mr. Davis led the design and integration of patent-pending technology for document and knowledge management using a number of proprietary technologies including artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and custom rules engine. Mr. Davis and his co-founder, Michael Sperling, developed an innovative approach for processing scanned, paper documents by combining artificial intelligence, optical character recognition, natural language processing and a sophisticated rules engine. Integrating these technologies allows for extraction of metadata from the surface of the document, including recognition of the printed date of the document, the actual author, the actual addressee, the entity from which the document was sent, the persons and entities discussed within the document, and certain actions referred to in the document. Mr. Davis was the founder and president of Executech, Inc., a leading electronic document management systems company. As President, he provided strategic direction to grow the company to 125 employees and led the development of its hardware, software technologies and services. Executech solutions provided highly complex imaging systems designed tosupport millions of pages of critical documents to organizations such as The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Deloitte and Touche, Fireman s Fund Insurance Company and the CIA. In the litigation field, Mr. Davis designed and installed large-scale document management systems forlitigation support for such firms as Cravath, Swaine and Moore, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Fulbright & Jaworski, and Kaye, Scholer. Executech was acquired by the Merrill Corporation in June of 1998, where Mr.Davis served as Vice President of Imaging.
