Terry Winter joined our board of directors in June 2006. Mr. Winter is EVP of Operations of American Superconductor, joining them in 2004 to help accelerate adoption of advanced reactive power compensation solutions in transmission grids. He is a board member of Trans-Elect and the Industry Advisory Board for the Consortium for Electric Reliability Technology Solutions. Mr. Winter was part of the NAERC analysis team that reviewed the 2003 blackout, recommending transmission grid and operating procedure improvements. His executive leadership positions included President, CEO and COO of the California Independent System Operator and varied power engineering assignments during his 21-year career at San Diego Gas & Electric. |
