Mr. Hoffman is the Managing Director of the SECURAC Physical Risk Practice. He is a security threat risk analysis, business impact and emergency preparedness expert and one of only two hundred and forty people in all of Canada who have achieved the standard of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) sponsored by the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS). Indeed, only 11,000 Security Professionals worldwide hold this highly coveted designation. He is also certified with Disaster Recovery International (D.R.I.) as an internationally recognized †Certified Business Continuity Professional†(C.B.C.P.). He possesses a postgraduate diploma, with honors, in the study of the new millennium type of crime †Cyberspace Security and Internet Lawâ€. In particular, he concentrated on information security policies and the design of information security event response plans.
Since September 11, 2001, Mr. Hoffman has been involved in developing and implementing a three-year, three-stage †Assets Protection Plan†for Canada Customs at multiple Ontario / United States of America International traffic and commercial border crossings. In addition, he has been busy providing security assessment services to a number of other federal, provincial and municipal government agencies, educational institutions and police organizations. He was recently selected to sit on the Security Advisory Board for the 2006 Men†s World Lacrosse Championships in London, Ontario.
Mr. Hoffman has over 16 years experience in the security management industry and over 11 years experience in project managing security audits and Threat Risk Assessments. With multiple training certificates in electronic security design on a variety of numerous access control and closed circuit TV. systems he not only brings an operational experience to the table but is also unique in his ability to understand technical systems and how they should be best utilized to meet the operational objective. |
