Experience:
Terri Mazur has been successfully litigating complex commercial disputes, particularly in the areas of antitrust and securities regulation, for nearly 25 years. She represents national and multinational corporations in monopoly, attempted monopoly, price fixing, market allocation, and conspiracy cases. Terri also represents accounting firms in class and individual actions involving securities, professional responsibility, breach of fiduciary duty, and insolvency claims. She defends lenders in class actions involving consumer lending, consumer leasing, debt collection credit reporting and practices, and fraud claims in federal and state courts across the country. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law and the Section of Litigation, and has written on antitrust issues. Over the years, Terri has represented corporations in suits involving breach of contract, business torts, covenants not to compete, RICO claims, and insurance coverage. In the products liability field, she has successfully represented a chemical and lubricant manufacturer and a manufacturer of fire safety-related equipment. She has also defended a chemical manufacturer in a wrongful death action involving an industrial accident.
Terri has successfully tried numerous cases, both bench and jury trials, as well as evidentiary hearings for injunctive and emergency relief, in state courts in Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas, and in US District Courts in California, Illinois, Kansas, and New Jersey. She has written numerous appellate briefs and argued before the Courts of Appeals for the Third, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits, as well as in the Illinois and New Mexico appellate courts.
Terri chairs the firm’s Women’s Initiatives Committee, which focuses on the retention, professional development, and advancement of women at Mayer Brown, and serves on Mayer Brown’s Committees for Diversity and Inclusion and Professional Advancement. She joined Mayer Brown in 1987.
