Tenel Tayar serves as our managing vice president of real estate acquisitions. His responsibilities include overseeing all acquisitions for existing retail properties. While at AmREIT Mr. Tayar has sourced negotiated and closed over $375 million in real estate transactions.
Mr. Tayar has 13 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining AmREIT he served as the director of finance at The Woodlands Operating Company where he directed commercial property dispositions construction financing and permanent financing of over $225 million in real estate transactions and participated in over $500 million. Mr. Tayar has underwritten over $2.5 billion in real estate deals and has directed all aspects of real estate capitalization and investment transactions.
Mr. Tayar received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and earned a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Tayar is a Texas licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the Urban Land Institute International Council of Shopping Centers and Association of Commercial Real Estate Professionals
