Ted Browning, located in our Virginia office, is a client service partner responsible for audit, tax, and consulting services provided to Associations and Other Non-Profits and to Employee Benefit Plans. Prior to joining Johnson Lambert & Co., he was responsible for the not-for-profit practice of Ernst & Young in Washington, D.C. where he served numerous not-for-profit organizations. At Ernst & Young, he served as Area Director of Human Resources and was responsible for recruiting and human resources management of five offices with over one thousand employees.
Ted is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on their Assurance Services Performance Measurement Task Force and Not-for-Profit Organizations Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, American Society of Association Executives, Greater Washington Society of Association Executives, and served as Treasurer and Board member of the Women in Military Service for the America Memorial Foundation. He is a frequent lecturer on accounting, auditing and not-for-profit management issues. He has taught technical training sessions on OMB Circular A-133 and FASB 116 & 117 and co-authored the United Way of America's FASB 116 and 117 Implementation Guide.
Ted is the father of four and lives in Germantown, Maryland. He is involved in many church and civic activities and enjoys coaching basketball as well as spending time flying, skiing and biking with his family. |
