Takuro Mochihara joined the Board of Teck Corporation in 2000. He is a graduate of the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law. Mr. Mochihara held managerial positions with Mitsubishi Canada Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation (general trading companies) from 1986 to 2000 when he joined Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. (mining and mine development company) where he is currently an Advisor.
Mr. Mochihara is a resident of Tokyo, Japan and is 63.
