Dr. Tack Lam is a Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Biomechanics practice. He has conducted research in orthopedic biomechanics in the areas of joint and bone mechanics and implant design. Dr. Lam is also a practicing licensed physician with specialized training in occupational medicine and toxicology. With his background in both medicine and engineering Dr. Lam brings a unique understanding and perspective into investigating the cause and natural history of injuries their appropriate diagnosis and subsequent reasonable treatment. With his biomechanics expertise he understands the physics behind the cause of injuries and can establish the mechanism and forces that result in injuries. As an active treating physician Dr Lam routinely diagnoses and treats injuries and diseases related to the workplace. Dr. Lam also conducts independent medical examinations (IMEs). |
