Sylvain Allard has been employed with the Company for more than 24 years, starting as a helicopter pilot in Eastern Canada in 1982. Mr. Allard earned a Masters of Business Administration degree (Gold Medallist) from Concordia University, Montreal, and is a graduate of the Aeronautical Program at Chicoutimi College in Quebec. Mr. Allard has held the position of Super Puma Pilot in Canada and abroad, and Chief Pilot for the Company.
After completion of his MBA, he moved through increasingly responsible management positions within the Company’s operating divisions. He has served as President of Viking Helicopters Ltd., Canadian Helicopters (Eastern) and CHC Helicopters International. On April 30, 1998, Mr. Allard was appointed to the position of President of the Company, where he managed the acquisition and consolidation of HSG Group, and the focusing of CHC into a premier offshore heavy and medium helicopter operator. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer November 9, 2004. |
