Sybrand van der Spuy is owner of Cape Point Vineyards in South Africa (www.capepointvineyards.co.za). He is also Founder and Managing Partner of Partnership Investments, one of South Africa's most successful leveraged buy-out firms over the last ten years. Partnership Investments recently bought a 33% stake in Brimstone Investment Corporation Limited, a listed South African Empowerment Group. Before founding Partnership Investments in 1989, Mr. van der Spuy served as Head of Corporate Finance at George Huysamer & Partners Inc. in Johannesburg. He holds a B. Comm (Honors) degree from Rand Afrikaans University and is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. van der Spuy serves on the Board of The National Development Agency, which administers poverty relief programs in South Africa for foreign donors and for the South African Government. |
