Susan Steelman is responsible for legal, operational and transactional issues for hospitals in Division IV. She also provides legal support to several centralized corporate functions. Steelman joined CHS in 2007 bringing over 10 years of practicing healthcare law and experience in both private and corporate environments. She has extensive experience as in-house legal counsel and was formerly with two large multi-facility and multi-state healthcare companies, serving as Assistant General Counsel to one of the companies. Steelman has also practiced healthcare regulatory law in a Nashville law firm. She attended Vanderbilt University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Alabama, Tennessee and Utah.
