Susan Schmitz is a Managing Director in the In-House Practice Group of the Houston office of Major, Lindsey & Africa. She has ten years of search and staffing experience in a variety of industries including legal, healthcare, technology, not-for-profit and financial services. Prior to joining MLA, Susan was an Executive Search Consultant for a Houston-based search firm where she managed general counsel, patent, trademark and other legal searches.
As National Account Director for one of the world's largest workforce solutions and staffing companies, Susan managed the client relationships of two Fortune 20 companies. She also held in-house recruiting and project management positions at Hewlett Packard (formerly Compaq) and is the former Director of Job Placement and Training for a nationally recognized, not-for-profit organization. Early in her career, Susan spent several years as a sales executive in the medical device industry.
Susan is fluent in Spanish after studying in Seville, Spain. She graduated from Miami University with a degree in business administration. |
