Sue is a principal and consulting actuary with the San Francisco office of Milliman.
Experience
As a consulting actuary specializing in property and casualty insurance, Sue has advised clients in many areas, especially the development of product specifications and pricing, competitive analyses, loss reserve and funding analyses, reviews of reinsurance programs, mergers and acquisitions, and financial forecasting. Her clients include insurance and reinsurance companies, new companies, self-insured entities, insurance departments, and attorneys.
Sue joined Milliman in 1983. From 1989 to 1993, she was vice president and corporate actuary for a direct response personal lines insurance company. She rejoined Milliman in 1993 and was elected a principal in 1994.
Affiliations
Sue participated for many years on the governing board of the Casualty Actuaries of the Mid-Atlantic Region, as vice president, president, and as chair of its Education Committee.
Previously, she served on the Examination and Syllabus Committees of the Casualty Actuarial Society and on the Joint Committee for the Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar.
From 1999 to 2000, Sue was an adjunct instructor of actuarial science at Temple University.
