Ms. Clymer is the Managing Director and founder of NichiBei Bio, Inc. Ms. Clymer has extensive biopharma business development and deal making experience from more than 25 years of business experience in the U.S. and Japanese biotechnology industries, has overseen multiple M&A deals, and has served on the Board of Directors of several private and public biotechnology companies including Sapient Health Network (acquired by WebMD in 2000), Goulter Medical, and TransMedx. She is currently a Board member of ReqMed, a Japanese life science venture company and Osprey Pharmaceutical, a Canadian bioventure company located in Montreal. Prior to founding Nichi Bei Bio, Ms. Clymer was a Fulbright Scholar in Japan affiliated with the Japan Bioindustry Association (JBA) created by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and Tokyo University. From 1984 - 1989, Ms. Clymer worked in business development at Scios (formerly California Biotechnology) and Bio-Response (acquired by Baxter Healthcare). From 1978 - 1984 she was an analyst with the U.S. Congressional Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) where she co-authored an in-depth report for Congressman Albert Gore Jr. on Japan's competitive position in biotechnology. |
