Ms. Klopman is an Associate in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Denver office and a member of the Employment Group. Ms. Klopman represents employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies in all facets of employment law. She counsels on matters related to ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act (including lawful off-duty conduct claims), the Colorado Wage Act, and drug and alcohol testing regulations, among others. Ms. Klopman also has experience in handling matters in front of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). In particular, Ms. Klopman advises clients on Title I and Title III of the ADA, including compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations for motor carriers, U.S. Department of Justice regulations for public accommodations, and EEOC regulations for employers. Ms. Klopman also represents employee welfare and pension benefit plans and administrators in actions brought pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income and Security Act of 1974, as amended (ERISA). Ms. Klopman has authored several articles on various areas of employment law and has taught a continuing legal education seminar on association claims under Title VII and the ADA. |
