Sunny Uberoi joined Antigenics as the vice president of corporate communications in March 2002. He has more than 12 years of communications, marketing and sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From July 2002 through December 2003, Mr. Uberoi was responsible for crisis management at Elan Corporation, where he worked exclusively with the media, successfully improving the company’s reputation and image. Prior to his work at Antigenics and Elan, Mr. Uberoi was a cofounder of The Remedy, a London health care agency serving companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Pharmacia and Schering-Plough. Mr. Uberoi has extensive experience in public and professional relations, lobbying, crisis management, government relations and prelaunch communication programs for innovative, first-to-market products. Mr. Uberoi has successfully raised the profile of biotech companies, including their pipeline and senior management. In these roles he has worked extensively with international journalists as well as thought leaders and patient advocacy groups.
Mr. Uberoi has held marketing and sales positions at Johnson & Johnson and Merck KgaA. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Manchester Metropolitan University and a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. |
