Suneel Bakhshi is a Managing Director and Head of the Global Commercial Bank, Citi Markets & Banking (CMB). In this role, he leads the firm's efforts to provide best-in-class financial services to small and medium-sized corporations around the world, as well as to be the partner of choice for large multi-national corporations and their global network of subsidiaries in more than 100 countries. He is a member of Citi's Management Committee.
Mr. Bakhshi was, until recently, the Head of Emerging Markets Corporate Banking. Prior to this, he was the Global Head of Emerging Markets Local Finance, which covered local lending and related activities of Citigroup International. From 2000 to 2003, he led Sales and Trading in Central Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. From 1995 to 1999, he was responsible for Derivatives Trading in Europe and, from 1992 to 1995, for Derivatives in Japan.
Mr. Bakhshi is an Executive Vice President of Citibank and Citicorp, and serves on the CMB Planning Group, the Business Practices Committee, and the Asset Liability Committee. He serves on the Board of the RamaKrishna Mission Hospital in Haridwar, India, a non-denominational charity hospital.
Mr. Bakhshi began his career at Citibank in 1982 in Treasury in the Middle East after receiving an MBA in Finance from Queens University in Canada. |
